Happy Easter From Illahe Rare Plants

"Where flowers bloom so does hope." — Lady Bird Johnson

What a fitting quote to put up as I thought I would write an Easter greeting and send a gallery along of our recent Texas hill country visit. My littlest sister got married in Dripping Springs, Texas last week and we had a wonderful time celebrating with her and visiting with family. I thought I would send a long a wish for peace and joy this Easter Sunday and a share a gallery of Texas Hill county wildflowers which we caught at the peak of bloom. My heart was full, my sister’s happiness could be seen from across the hills, the weather was actually pleasant (unlike the last visit where day time temps hovered around 104 and it never got below 85 at night, my daughter flew in from Vancouver, B.C. and we had spent some time hiking with my cousin Daryl from Santa Rosa. Please enjoy the Texas Hill Country wildflower show open the gallery to see them all:

There is this way overused bible verse at weddings about Faith, Hope and Love (fortunately my lil sis wedding featured more Beatles quotes then bible quotes). The last few years left me with shattered faith in humanity, but I have a lot of love around me these days and I still hold out hope for a better future. The lady bird said it well, and as so many new flowers come into bloom every day in the garden and greenhouses now, the Hope is for better times ahead.

Happy Easter,

Mark
