Allium senescens var. glaucum

$9.00

Super showy from its twisting mostly evergreen leaves, compact habit and sturdy drumsticks of purple flowers produced in profusion, great for trough, rock, crevice gardens. This subspecies is native to central and eastern Europe and parts of western Asia, thriving in rocky, alpine meadows and dry grasslands. It's particularly well-adapted to continental climates with cold winters and dry summers. As interesting out of flower as it is when it is adorned with the light purple flowers, this can add a lot of texture in a trough or crevice garden and with it’s compact size, tough, drought tolerant nature it is perfectly happy doing so for years. Survives harsh winters and summer droughts, making it an excellent choice for xeriscapes, rock gardens, and borders.

Hardy in zones 4-9
