Arenaria capillaris

Our own seed selection from Oregons Western Cascades, growing on steep loose screes along East facing slopes with Eriogonum umbellatum and Lilium washingtonianum. Many starry white flowers above mats of creeping foliage. This is a good cover plant for filling in a crevice garden.

I am partial to the Arenaria, or mountain sandworts as they are known it's a genus of remarkable diversity and they are all pretty tough, drought tolerant survivors, especially the alpine species.
