Since Wilson, Leeds and Rolfe decided to put this on the dust jacket of the new monograph its certainly considered a champion among the Colchicums! The one thing you have to remember when looking through pictures and comparing them, especially as regards color, the deep hues of autumn and our often smoke filled late summer sky’s can really cause havoc with white balance. It’s sometimes hard to capture the true pinks and they can end up looking more lavender. Regardless this is a fantastic, easy garden plant that should be in every fall blooming collection.
