Daphne cv. cneorum

This is a Daphne cultivar that I got from the Legendary Mt. Tahoma nursery and the super plantsman, Rick Lupp some 16 years ago. The label and name got lost over time, but in those many years since it was planted in the front herb garden at illahe, it has scrambled through a huge stand of Teucrium. It blooms prolifically with intensely scented flowers, the foliage can take on a glaucus blue appearance which should narrow the search for the name.

Regardless of what people call this, it’s a long lived super tough Daphne, that doesn’t get any taller than 12”, has amazing scented flowers and if planted in a Teucrium will intertwine and run through the shrubs and thyme in an herb garden. But would make a fantastic specimen in a rock garden, or crevice garden as well.

I haven’t propagated it until this past year when I stuck a bunch of cuttings, you can see them in the photo. I’ll post up a better one of the plant in the Teucrium soon.

I guarantee the price will go up once I figure out what this cute lil garland flower actually is called.
