A stunning cross between the NW Native Leopard lily, Lilium pardalinum and the exotic Easter Lily, Lilium longiflorum. This remarkable hybrid is a vigorous excellent naturalizer. I have grown it in everything from deep shade to the sunny open border and it blooms reliably with little care and no fuss. Super drought tolerance is an adaptation no doubt coming from it’s panther lily parent, which ranges from Southern Oregon to Baja. The dramatic flower stalks can get over 6’ tall and if grown in good sun won’t need staking.
For me they grow almost like a weed along the North Side of the house, a foundation planting bed that gets saturated soil conditions all winter, and then no summer irrigation. Given these conditions, this awesome hybrid will offset vigorously to make a stunning show in no time.
These are nice size, bulbs shipped in coir and ready for planting or pot and hold in a cool, dark place until spring if you climate isn’t suitable to winter planting.
