A unique catchfly from Southern Oregon’s Siskiyou Mountains, this species has nodding bells with striking ‘tentacles of blossom’ parts sticking out from under the hood of those bells.
A drought tolerant and tough specimen, it’s also a great pollinator attractor.
Makes a sweet show next to Clematis freemontii and will definitely be a conversation starter in your dry land garden.
Our own introduction from 3,800’ on East facing slopes of serpentine. Southern Oregon.
