“If you plant ice, you’re gonna harvest wind.” The Grateful Dead

The Colchciums are like the appreciation of fine art, you have to have aknowledge the subtleness in the brush strokes and the way the light is captured.

Its that time of year, fall sales events, garden center sales, and thinking about getting all those plants into the ground that you managed to get through these increasingly brutal summers. We had a great time at the SHPS plant sale this past week at the always amazing Sebright Gardens. We are now gearing up for a quick trip to Canada and the Alpine Garden Club of BC and UBC Botanic Garden Treasured Bulbs Sale. If you are up that way and are curious what we are bringing I have a list, shoot an email and request it. The plan is to get back from that sale, and get the Fall alpine and rock garden list up for mailorder. Look for a late season fall bulb sale as well, we will discount what is left in the inventory online. Click on the gallery to enjoy a bit of fall at Illahe Nursery and Gardens.

Thanks to all those who came out to see us and get plants at the fall sale at Sebright and we hope to see the rest of you in Vancouver! If you want to have a good show in the garden next year, you want to get those plants in the ground soon! Said in a 1950’s radio add voice: Don’t plant ice, plant illahe rare plants fine selection of rare flower bulbs and choice alpines this year and enjoy a fine garden show next spring!

Stay tuned for the fall bulb clearance sale and the coming of the alpine mailorder list!

Cheers,

Mark
