Calceolaria pinifolia
Unique in the genus with sticky, linear pine needle like leaves. Large sprays of yellow pocket book flowers. Native to the southern Andes of Chile and Argentina, it thrives in cool, moist environments.
Ideal for alpine beds, troughs, or shaded rock gardens where its unique blooms can be admired up close. Best in climates with cool summers. I do find in our hot, dry western summers these do best with afternoon shade.
