Dianthus 'Eileen Lever'
Perfect alpine cushion pink, these make domes like a softball cut in half. Great in pot, or trough because of it’s compact size but will also add a nice cushion element to the rock garden or crevice garden. Dianthus 'Eileen Lever' is a cultivar developed at the iconic alpine nursery Aberconwy in North Wales. It’s a tough one with nice spikes of dark pink flowers.
Hardy to zone 4, if you believe in hardiness zones. I look at these with a bit of skepticism really, so much has to do with your local garden conditions, aspect, soil types, microclimate etc. So know that when I list a zone (mostly because a few customers have hounded me to do so) I am only using it as a general suggestion as to the lowest minimum temperatures a plant may survive.
