An illahe collection from the Western Cascades at about 4,800’ This wonderful native sulphur buckwheat is wide ranging and variable. This form has less hairy leaves then some of the more Southernly and Easterly forms. An adaptable alpine, for rock garden or large crevice garden where it hugs the rocks, with tidy rosettes on short stems to make a mat, followed by glowing sulphur yellow flowers from spring through summer.
