Hebe cuppresioides 'Boughton Dome'
I got these cuttings from Jane McGary’s original estate garden in Estacada on the flanks of Mt. Hood where it had been a long standout in her fabulous rock garden. It’s a tough, super hardy and incredibly architectual shrub for the rock garden. Like a boxwood that never needs shearing to maintain a perfect half globe.
Dark green foliage and that perfect symmetry is the desire here, I don’t think i’ve ever seen this long standing plant flower. For me that is no big deal, I like dwarf conifers in the rock garden as well, but the Hebe’s are my choice whenever I find one that fits perfectly.
