The coolest little mouse plant! This one has even more meaning for me since my originals came from the storied Deepwood gardens in Salem, Oregon. It grew in the little teahouse garden tucked under an old heirloom rose where you had to look closely to appreciate it’s unique Its peculiar flowers that resemble tiny mice, with a brownish-purple hood and a long, slender, tail-like appendage. The flowers are partially hidden under lush, heart-shaped green leaves that form an attractive ground cover.

It’s a tough little bugger and fast increaser, even better in a pot where you can really enjoy those cool flowers up close! Native to shady woodlands in Spain, this is one that will do well in dry summer areas.
